music
i have been playing piano since i was able to reach it, and studied piano for fifteen years. i had the privilege to play with amazing musicians around the world. between 2008 - 2015 i released a number of albums, both as sideman and under my own name. i built a recording studio and started the record label small house.
art
from 2011, my music has gradually shifted toward art. the change was driven by a wish to understand music’s place in the shifting media landscape. i began viewing my pieces as artworks, and my live music as performance art. it has been an exhilirating journey to rediscover what music means to me.
research
i have enthusiastically embraced the research turn in art. my first institutional research project was at konstfack’s research lab in 2023-2024. i am currently seeking funding to continue my work at phd level. my research subject is sustainable music making.
technology
since 2018, i work as an enterprise it developer and cloud specialist. i write code in java, kotlin and golang, for large clients in telecom, financial and government services. my artistic practice is deeply informed by my experiences maintaining large cloud environments.
ockelbo
since 2022 i live on a farm in the swedish countryside. the open space makes it easy to imagine new musics, closer both to nature and community. together with my long-time collaborator diana butucariu, we work to make our home a center for art, craft and music, by arranging concerts, exhibitions and residencies.
